PennFuture:
Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future
Was created because Pennsylvania’s environmental problems
are harming people, destroying natural resources, dragging down
the economy, and degrading our quality of life. Air pollution is
shortening lives, contaminating fish, killing streams and forests,
and inexorably warming the global climate. Watersheds are thoughtlessly
being undermined and paved over, and good water quality is becoming
a rare commodity. Thousands of acres of land are defiled by past
coal mining, and communities, streams, and families still suffer
from destructive mining techniques.

Citizens Mining Network
Coordinates a group of organizations and individuals dedicated to
informing and educating the public about the effects of mining on
the environment and on the communities in the coalfields. By working
to improve laws, regulations, and enforcement, the Network seeks
protection of the environment and justice for coalfield citizens.

Rights Union (KWRU)
A multiracial organization of, by and for poor and homeless people.
We believe that we have a right to thrive - not just barely survive.
KWRU is dedicated to organizing of welfare recipients, the homeless,
the working poor and all people concerned with economic justice.
