An all-volunteer, Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to ending
the suffering, exploitation, and abuse of all animals. We are involved
in efforts to help the local companion animal population, community
outreach efforts on behalf of the animals, vegetarian outreach efforts,
and local animal rights issues.

Critical
Mass
Critical Mass is a monthly celebration which brings attention to
alternative forms of transportation. By taking to the streets in
a mass of bicycle riders, we hope to remind people that bikes are
an efficient means of transport, and that bikers deserve a place
on the roads.

Lesbian Neighborhood Development Associatione (GLENDA)
A group of concerned gays, lesbians, and friends who have organized
to provide volunteer service to the greater Pittsburgh community.
GLENDA is focused on promoting diversity - dedicated to building
respect and acceptance of all people, including gays and lesbians.
Through collaborative, community work, GLENDA hopes to foster positive
attitudes about minority groups, and overcome many of the negative
stereotypes and misconceptions that may currently exist.

Gertrude Stein Political Club of Greater Pittsburgh
An organization that provides information about candidates' positions
on issues important to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transexual
voter.
Ground Zero
GroundZero is an open network of doers, makers and creative people
who collaborate on projects focused on Pittsburgh's urban environment
and culture.
Jamaat
for Justice
Jamaat for Justice is an activist group working within the Muslim
community to contribute to activism against inequity and discrimination.
Current projects center around the INS's waves of "alien registration"
where people in the United States are photographed, fingerprinted,
and questioned under oath based on their national origin, but we
don't restrict our activism to any single community whose rights
are being taken away. We are a broad group of activists, lawyers,
and community members.
The
Midwife Center
We strive to increase the health of women and their families by
providing excellent woman-focused healthcare services and family-oriented
birthing services. We seek to meet the special needs of low-income
women through community outreach, and we partner with women throughout
the life cycle.

The TMC organizes, educates and takes action around dozens of peace
and social justice issues in Pittsburgh. We are people from diverse
philosophies and faiths who find common ground in the nonviolent
struggle to bring about a more peaceful and just world. We work
to raise the moral questions involved in the issues of war, poverty,
racism, and oppression.
