Telling the Truth....
Finding the Line Between Collective Community
and Collective Insanity
By Brandon Batzloff
Editor, Free Voices
As community groups and collective organizations develop, there
has always been a trend toward what many people refer to as elitism
or unwillingness to work with other communities. Far from being
just a passing and subtle state, this inward turning or trend toward
ingrown groups is extremely dangerous not only for the group itself,
but individuals and groups that it comes in contact with. Continue

A Pro-Active Response to Farenheit 911
By Erin Durban
Denver, CO
Since there have been a wide variety of responses to the new documentary
Fahrenheit 9/11 (disgust, anger, sadness, rage, etc.), I thought
it would be useful for people to have an outlet for their emotions
that can have a positive impact on changing the current system.

NO PLAYING
By Michael Dwyer
Pittsburgh, PA
That’s what is printed on a sign posted outside a church parking
lot near my friend’s house. I swear to God, it says NO PLAYING.
From what I understand, the lot used to be a gathering spot for
all the neighborhood kids to trade baseball cards, chew bubblegum,

Networks and Netwars: The Future of Terror,
Crime, and Militancy
Review by Jericho Oaalls
Chicago, IL
Although this analysis has been prepared by the RAND Corporation,
a think tank devoted to researching options and solutions to national
security issues, it is one that should be read by anyone who finds
themselves working within the framework of American reactionary
policies and tactics, i.e. activists and concerned citizens. it
gives us a framework within which we can not only view resultant
developments in authority organizations, but in dissenting communities
as well. Continue
